Influence of constant current drive and non constant current drive on digital tube
Release Time:2015-02-28
1. display effect:
Since the light-emitting diode is basically a current-sensitive device, its forward voltage drop has a large dispersion and is also related to temperature. In order to ensure that the digital tube has a good brightness uniformity, it needs to have a constant working current and cannot be affected by temperature and other factors. In addition, when the temperature changes, the driver chip should also be able to automatically adjust the size of the output current to achieve color balance temperature compensation.
2. security:
Even a short time of current overload may cause permanent damage to the light-emitting tube, the use of constant current drive circuit can prevent the large area damage of the digital tube caused by current failure. In addition, the VLSI circuit we use also has a cascade delay switch characteristic, which can prevent the reverse spike voltage from damaging the light-emitting diode. VLSI also has a thermal protection function, when any piece of temperature exceeds a certain value can be automatically shut down, and can be seen in the control room fault display.
